Ramya's acting and dubbing talent win her cash
Ramya Pandian, whose performance in the award-winning film Joker was much appreciated, is all set for the release of Aan Dhevathai. The film has been directed by Thamira and features Samuthirakani as the lead actor.
An excited Ramya tells DC, “I played Mallika, a village girl, in Joker, and in Aan Dhevathai I play a totally different character — Jessica an IT girl. It was Samuthirakani sir who recommended me for the role. He was impressed by my performance in Joker, and he gave me a lot of encouragement while on set. Perhaps, it was because I’m a Tamil girl.”
“Since I am conversant with Tamil, I was able to learn my dialogues easily and complete my shots in a single take. It also made dubbing easier. Thamira sir was so happy with my performance and my dubbing, that he gave me a cash prize, twice!” the actress adds.
Though Ramya has been receiving many offers, she says that she’s in no hurry to sign films. “I will wait for the audience’s verdict on my performance in Aan Dhevathai,” she says.
