We had already reported a while ago that filmmaker Mysskin was interested in directing a sequel to the Narain-Prasanna starrer Anjathe! It looks like it has finally been materialised.
Speaking to DC, producer Hitesh Jhabak, who was associated with the earlier film says, “We wanted the title to be Anjathe 2 but the movie isn’t a sequel to the old one — it won’t have any resemblance to Anjathe,” and adds, “We’re also planning to rope in different actors to make this venture look fresh. Just that the cop theme is the only connecting chord between the both.”
Hitesh tells us that the plot of the film will be a little more refined and there will be a new story told.
“Mysskin will be working on the nitty-gritty. Even now, I could see that people could remember Anjathe after 8 years it was released. Such was the reach of the film and I hope this time the same magic works,” he concludes.
