Though it’s only been a day since Pa Paandi’s release, the talks are on for the Telugu remake of the film! It will be remade with actor Mohan Babu, who will be reprising Rajkiran’s role of an aging stunt man. Apparently, Rajinikanth arranged a special screening of the film for his good friend Mohan Babu. As he was extremely impressed with it, Rajini suggested that he star in the Telugu remake.
The project will be directed by Subraminaiam Siva, who made films like Thiruda Thirudi and Seedan with Dhanush. Talking to DC, he says “Mohan Babu sir was very happy after seeing the film, and we are currently in the process of finalising other actors and the crew of the film. The discussions are on with many, and we will go on floors in the next couple of months.”
Pa Paandi, Dhanush’s directorial debut is an emotional tale about an aging stunt man, his family, sacrifices and love life. Rajkiran plays the lead in this film, which has received positive response from both the audience and critics. Dhanush will be making his first step in Telugu cinema as a producer with this remake — he will co-produce along with Mohan Babu.
