Actress Arundhati who shot to fame with Sibiraj-starrer Naaigal Jaakirathai, is maintaining a low profile because she wants to pick strong and author-backed roles. The actress, who had a release in 2016 with Arthanaari, has two flicks in her kitty.
The Indru Netru actress has bagged an important role in Pa Ranjith’s Kaala, starring Superstar Rajinikanth. Speaking to DC, she reveals, “I can’t disclose much about my role, but I can say that it is a strong and bold character. Ranjith sir saw my pictures and was convinced that I would fit this role. I have shot for Kaala for 40 days and 25 more days of shoot is pending. It was such a fun experience and I can’t wait to resume the shoot.” About her experience sharing screen space alongside Rajinikanth — “He is the epitome of simplicity and is very down-to-earth. He doesn’t bring in the star tag along with and that’s one of his best qualities. He knows where he wants to be.”
Apart from Kaala, Arundhati is also part of an untitled flick with Kalaiyarasan as the hero. “I play the lead role in this horror flick directed by Sriram. We have completed the shooting with two songs left to be shot,” she quips. The actress is in talks for two more projects and is expected to make an announcement soon.
