Kanni Rasi is a film which revolves around love marriage, but I am not interested either in love or arranged marriage in real life. I am not going to get hitched at all,” Varalaxmi Sarathkumar reacted when asked about her wedding plans at the promo event of her upcoming film.
The actress added, “I was very impressed when director Muthukumaran narrated the script. Kanni Rasi is a rollicking comedy and I could not control my laughter during narration. It’s an energetic team and we all had fun while shooting. Vimal is a good performer and easy going person. It was a new experience working with him.”
Vimal, who plays the lead protagonist in KR, pulled Varu’s legs in a lighter vein, saying, “I have worked with many heroines in the past, with Varalaxmi I felt as if I was acting with a male actor. Jokes apart, the movie has shaped up so well. My forthcoming movies will have different genres.’
Lyricist Yugabharathi’s speech caught the attention of many. “Thanks to director for delivering a simple family comedy. We don’t have to make films to get awards. Even if you give an extraordinary film, we are not going to get awards. This is the plight of Tamil cinema for the next five years.”
Kanni Rasi has an ensemble comedian casting including Pandiarajan, Yogi Babu, Robo Shankar, and Kali Venkat. Vishal Chandrashekar does the music.
