A few days ago, Mohammed Yasin, a Class II boy from Erode, set an example for his schoolmates by returning a bag containing Rs 50,000 that he found abandoned on the roadside. He made over the cash to the police through his school authorities. His good deed drew a heart warming response from all who had heard about it. Many persons, including his school headmistress and the SP of the district, praised him and showered gifts on him.
Yasin’s parents are known to struggle to make ends meet, which is what makes his honesty even more touching. And a call from a very special person inviting him to his house made Yasin most proud. It was none other than Superstar Rajinikanth who invited the boy along with his family to his residence at Poes Garden and gifted him a gold chain, besides agreeing to sponsor his studies in future.
Speaking to the media while holding Yasin close to him, Rajinikanth said, “In this age where people cheat, steal and kill even for a little money, he (Yasin) said that this is not my money and handed it over. What exemplary conduct! It is a great quality.”
The Kabali star also praised Yasin’s parents and conveyed his heartfelt wishes to them.
On sponsoring his future, Rajinikanth said, “He is studying in a government school now. So let him continue studying there. After this, whatever he desires to study I will sponsor him. He is a big inspiration to everyone and every child.”
