Director Suseenthiran's film undergoes a title change
Director Suseenthiran’s next film starring Sundeep Kishen and Mehreen Kaur has undergone a title change. Aram Seidhu Pazhagu is now Nenjil Thunivirundhaal, and the director speaks to DC explaining the reason.
“The phrase Aram Seidhu Pazhagu has been registered by Madurai Meenakshi Mission. So, I changed the title to Nenjil Thunivirudhaal which also has a relevance to the suspense thriller. Like my earlier movie Naan Mahan Alla, this is also an offbeat action film where I have touched upon a social issue.” While Sundeep plays a boy from a middle class family, the film predominantly talks about the intense friendship between him and Vikranth, who essays the other lead role. “After Paandiya Naadu, Nenjil.. is a full-fledged commercial film and there will be raw violence.”
Heaping praise on Sundeep, he says, “The movie was shot simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu. I was awestruck with Sundeep’s command over both the languages. I would first shoot the scene for the Tamil version followed by the same scene in Telugu. Sundeep’s memory is sharp! Without taking much time, he would get ready for the shot. Even in action sequences, he was superb. It was because of him, I was able to complete the film in a short span of 52 days.” On choosing Mehreen he reveals, “I needed a bubbly girl for the college girl character. And Mehreen fitted the role and there’s a cute romance between the lead pair. You will enjoy the fun elements incorporated in them.”
