Sangeetha returns after a gap
Actress Sangeetha, on a hiatus, is back in Tamil now with Vijay Antony’s Tamilarasan in a power-packed role. Sangeetha was last seen in a character with grey shades in a film Neruppuda released a couple of years ago. Tamilarasan directed by Babu Yogeswaran has Remya Nambeesan romancing Vijay Antony for the first time.
It is a cop thriller and has an ensemble cast of actor politician Suresh Gopi, Sonu Sood, Kasturi, Chaya Singh, Munishkanth, Robo Shankar, Yogi Babu, Madhumitha, Kathir and YG Mahendran along with Master Pranav, son of filmmaker Mohan Raja making his debut.
Talking about as why she accepted the role in Tamilarasan, Sangeetha said, “I have been offered several roles in the past, but nothing significant and interesting. When Babu narrated this script, I found it very challenging and has scope for performance. I play a doctor who runs a huge hospital and it has a lot of bearing in the script. I didn’t want to let go off my hand.” Earlier it was said Bhumika Chawla was to play a crucial role. It is unclear if Sangeetha has replaced Bhumika.
