Richard, brother-in-law of Ajith, who is shuttling between K’town and Telugu cinema, is yet to get his due here. Some of his movies like Rendavathu Padam and Pazhaya Vannarapettai were delayed due to various reasons — and now, the actor has signed a new movie titled Andhamaan where he takes on an action avatar, which is shot extensively in Andaman.
Aadhavan, who has worked with National Award winner SP Jananathan, wields the megaphone for the first time. Manochithra aka Nandhagi, who underwent an image makeover recently has been signed on to essay Richard’s love interest.
“The film is about a young chap who tries to save the planet, and how he fights people from various quarters regarding this issue. While the first half of the story takes place in Tamil Nadu, it travels to Andaman for the latter portions,” the director explains.
