Ace choreographer Dinesh, who turned hero with the critically acclaimed flick Oru Kuppai Kathai, has been roped in for yet another film as the male lead. Said to be a horror comedy, it is titled Nayae Peyae.
Sakthivasan, well known in short film circuit and who won national award for his short ‘The Real Salute’ with Kiran Bedi, wields the megaphone. There’s also an equal amount of romance, the director says. Aishwarya, a newcomer plays Dinesh’s heroine. If he was a rag picker in OKK, here in NP, Dinesh essays a petty thief from the city who leads a happy life along with his three friends. While trying to kidnap a Nai (dog), he ends up kidnapping a Pei (ghost) and what happens after that forms the rest of the story narrated in a hilarious manner.
Sayaji Shinde, ‘Aadukalam’ Murugadoss, Rokesh and Krish play supporting roles. Raghunanthan will be composing the music. Bankrolled by ace editor Gopi Krishna, the film went on floors recently with several celebrities including ‘Editor’ Mohan, Rajesh, Perarasu, Thambi Ramaiah, Aslam, Siva and Ezhil gracing the occasion.
