Ever since the mega announcement that Dulquer Salmaan would be playing the lead in the Srinath Rajendran directorial Kurup, which is based on the life of infamous Sukumara Kurup, the film has been garnering a lot of attention. Nothing short of a casting coup in roping in Dulquer for the title role, the film already has actors like Indrajith Sukumaran and Shine Tom Chacko playing prominent roles.
The latest news from the camp is that Bollywood actor Sobhita Dhulipala will also be joining team Kurup. Sobhita was in the news for her role in the OTT series Made in Heaven that grabbed eyeballs for her phenomenal acting chops. She debuted in Bollywood with the Anurag Kashyap film Raman Raghav 2.0. and was later seen in films like Kaalakaandi, Chef and Goodachari. Incidentally, not many know that Kurup is actually Sobhita’s second Malayalam film. Her debut in Mollywood is through Moothon in which she plays a prostitute.
