Niharika Konidela, daughter of Nagendra Babu and niece of Chiranjeevi, is excited about foraying into Tamil cinema through Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren — which stars two prominent actors Vijay Sethupathi and Gautham Karthik in lead roles. Arumuga Kumar, a former assistant of filmmaker Balaji Dharaneetharan, wields the megaphone.
She says, “I have always loved Tamil language and all my family members speak good Tamil. I couldn’t have asked for a better launch than this in K’town. I am not playing a run-of-the-mill heroine that you see usually. It is a substantial role. I have two names in the movie and you will know the reason while you watch the film.”
On her two co-stars — Sethupathi and Gautham – (although it is still not revealed whose pair she essays in the flick) she says, “Both are simple and down-to-earth people. They were very helpful during the shoot. It was a happy experience working with them.”
The anchor-turned-actress says that her family is her biggest strength — “The support and encouragement I get from my family is immense and I am lucky to have such a family behind me.”
The first look of Niharika from the film, which was released recently, where she she sported heavy jewellery and an ethnic dress, was well received.
