You will see more of me in Tamil: Adah Sharma
Adah Sharma is not totally new to Tamil audiences, as she shook a leg with STR in the film Idhu Namma Aalu. She has also acted alongside Dhanush in a commercial. However, Adah is all set to enter K’town with the film Charlie Chaplin 2, starring Prabhudheva in the lead. We catch up with her for a candid chat about the film and her career in Tamil.
“I try to do something different with each film. In Commando 2, I did a lot of comedy — I mean it is very rare for a heroine to do a full-fledged comedy role. More often, heroines will be part of the comedy; but here, I was also doing the comedy. In Charlie Chaplin 2 also, there is a lot of funny stuff.” She adds, “There is a good dance sequence here for me. I haven’t really danced much in my previous films. Here, I have gotten a chance to explore it.” When asked why it took so long to come to the Tamil industry, she says, “I wait for the ‘wow’ factor. Unless I feel that thing about a film, I don’t do it. This project made me feel like that.”
But she says there is a lot happening with her in Tamil — “Things should turn official before I talk about it. You will see more of me in K’town, you have no other choice (laughs).” Further talking about Charlie Chaplin 2, she says, “I know there are rumours about how it is a remake of the first part. But it is surely is not a remake; it is totally a different story altogether.”
Talking about her dance sequence with Prabhudheva, she says, “I am very, very excited about dancing and sharing screen space with Prabhudheva sir. It
is almost like a dream-come-true project to act with him. I don’t feel anything else other than excitement.”
