Vignesh is a bundle of talent and a hard worker, but someone whom success has eluded. The actor is now bouncing back with the emotional potboiler Anbukku Panjamillai, set against the backdrop of Tanjore. Sources say the story is inspired by a real-life incident. Vivekbharathi, who earlier gave Vasantham Vandhaachu and Endrum Anandham, directs the film.
Prathap, who did the lead role in Pandhu, is playing yet another hero role here. Gayathri Iyer has been roped in as the female lead. It is an emotional subject and revolves around a girl who’s torn between her maternal uncle and her lover. “Vignesh has a solid role, and as usual has given a powerful performance. The movie has shaped up well and would go well with family audiences,” Vivek claims. Soundaryan, who gave chartbuster songs in Sindhu Nadhi Poove and Cheran Pandian, is back after a long hiatus to score the music for Anbukku Panjamillai.
