Dusky actresses are known to shine in Tamil cinema as performers rather than glamorous heroines. Joining the list is the beautiful Keerthi Pandian, daughter of actor and producer Arun Pandian, who is making her debut with a fantasy adventure genre featuring Darshan of Kanaa fame in the lead. Directed by Harish Ram, the film has musical score by Anirudh and Vivek-Mervin.
Says Keerthi, “I had rejected many projects that became blockbusters. I don’t regret missing them for I didn’t find anything fascinating with the female lead role in there”.
Though hailing from a film family, the young actress says, “I never wanted to show, where I come from. I had attended many auditions just with the name Keerthi and got rejected as well. All that I aspire and want to accomplish is to become a performer. I wanted to inherit the nuances of acting and got myself involved in theatre plays.” She also has hands-on experience in film distribution business assisting her dad.
