Cinderella steers clears of horror cliches
So far you would have seen only the glam side of Raai Laxmi, but her acting skills are explored in the fantasy horror film Cinderella, where she will be seen in a triple dimensional role,” vouches director Vinoo Venkatesh, a former assistant of SJ Suryah.
Talking to DC he says, “Cinderella is not the run-of-the-mill horror film that you often come across in Tamil cinema. It will be a very significant film in Raai Laxmi’s career. Since Cinderella is a familiar name among children, I have made the film in such a way that kids will also lap up the movie, besides family audiences.”
Close sources say that Cinderella is looking to break the routine fairy tale ‘prince saves princess’ storyline and will entirely be a female-centric film with no romantic angle for Raai Laxmi’s character.
For the first time, Sakshi Agarwal will be seen in a villainous role. Robo Shankar, Kaloori Vinoth, singer Ujjaini play supporting roles. The teaser, unveiled by SJ Suryah and Ram Gopal Varma recently, has gone viral.
