Bill shock for Aishwarya
“I was charged Rs 1 lakh at a private hospital for a simple fever. I went for a consultation, but they made me admit myself, took a MRI Scan and ECG after waking up me at midnight. I wondered why they should do all these tests for a normal fever. Not that I can’t afford. Why should I pay unnecessarily? I forced myself to come out of the hospital, although they wanted me to stay one more day. At the end of the day, they just gave me the usual tablets prescribed for fever,” Aishwarya Rajesh said while sharing her experiences with a private hospital in the city during a meet on her upcoming medical thriller Mei.
But the Kakka Muttai actress refused to reveal the name of the hospital. “I am not blaming all the hospitals in the city. But there are a few of them who indulge in such things. When the director approached me with the script of Mei, I was too busy acting in several films. And again, the hero was a newcomer. Since I could relate to the story, which Bhaskaran narrated, I gladly agreed and went on board.”
