Premgi on playing a dog
The teaser of director Arvind Sridhar’s Simba looks refreshing, abound with many quirky elements. The film becomes the first full-fledged stoner film, and it is not the only highlight of the film. The comedy drama also has actor Premgi playing a dog and the grandfather of Bharath, as reported earlier by DC.
Now, Premgi reveals why he is seen as a dog in the film —“The heroine of the film (played by Bhanu Sri Mehra) moves in as Bharath’s neighbour in the film with her dog. Though for everyone he is just a dog, for Bharath he looks like a person. This is because he is always high! It will be pretty hilarious.”
He adds, “The dog also asks Bharath to help him get his love interest Cadbury (Trisha’s pet dog). There are many funny segments like this.”
Premgi also plays the role of Bharath’s grandfather and you can get the glimpse of his getup in the teaser. The Goa actor does look like his father Gangai Amaren in this new makeover — “Yes! We did extensive work to get that look. I had to grow a beard for the role.”
The re-recording process is currently underway, and it is being done by the film’s composer Vishal Chandrasekar. According to the Mankatha actor the film might hit the screens by December.
