Director Vijay helmed Prabhudheva’s comeback vehicle Devi(L) went on to do good business at the box-office. Soon after, the duo was all set to join hands for the second time for a film that is jointly produced by Pramod Films and Trident Arts. Aishwarya Rajesh plays the female lead alongside Karunakaran in an important role.
We had recently reported that the film will be on the lines of the popular Hollywood project Step Up. The recent reports confirm that the film, which is reportedly titled as Lakshmi, is a dance-based film. Another interesting aspect is that the movie will have 12 songs in it. Music director Sam CS who was appreciated for his songs in Vikram Vedha has been roped in to compose the album for this movie.
A source close to the team reveals, “Since it is a dance-based film, we have finalised 12 songs. There are peppy songs to which the dancing legend will groove to and there are other songs which will portray his emotional side. The number of songs may also increase.”
The story is touted to revolve around Prabhudheva who grooms a kid into a famous choreographer. An official confirmation about the title is expected to be out soon.
