Is Vadivelu becoming the real' Imsai Arasan?
After ace Shankar made a complaint at TFPC on Vadivelu for creating problems during the shoot of his production venture Imsai Arasan 24aam Pulikesi, a sequel to their earlier blockbuster, here are two more producers who are up against the veteran comedian for his no-show for shoots after taking huge advance for their movies.
Imsai Arasan sequel, directed by Chimbudevan, went on floors last year and came to a halt because of the alleged interference and non-cooperation of Vadivelu. In fact, expensive sets were erected for the film. The Producers Council also acted on the complaint and asked for Vadivelu’s explanation. Meanwhile, actor/producer RK roped Vadivelu for a horror comedy Neeyum Naanum Naduvula Peyum as the latter’s comic act has worked well in his movies like Ellam Avan Seyal and Azhagar Malai. However, sources say that Vadivelu, who was signed on for NNNP for a big sum, did not turn up for the shoot despite mediation and hence RK had no choice but to complain at the TFPC.
Producer Stephen had signed Vadivelu for his upcoming untitled film, which has GV Prakash in the lead. Ram Bala who did Dhillukku Dhuttu was to direct the movie. Vadivelu may have had creative differences with the director and asked him to change the story. This has resulted in the film getting held up. It
seems both Nadigar Sangam and Producers Council have sent notices to the comedian asking for his explanation.
