Kabali fever' grips Thanjai
THANJAVUR: The ‘Kabali fever’ gripped Thanjavur and Kumbakonam in Thanjavur district on Friday where the film has been released in three theatres each.
Fans of superstar Rajinikanth performed special ‘abishekam’ at the Anjaneya temple on Gandhiji road here and took holy water from there to Jupiter theatre in a procession with playing of band. (The film is running in Jupiter, Vijaya and Rajarajn in Thanjavur).
At the theatre they poured the holy water (As court order prevented them from pouring milk on cutouts) on the huge cutout of Rajinikanth, as the actor’s fans cried in ecstasy. . Mr. Rajni Ganesan, president of Thanjavur district Rajnikanth’s Fans Association said they were delighted on the release of their hero’s latest film, ‘Kabali’.
“This day is an important day for fans of the superstar. This is like Deepavali for us. As court has ordered not to pour milk on the cutouts, we pour holy water
and do pattabishekam to the superstar” he said.
