The queen of Kollywood, Nayanthara is arguably the busiest actress in town and she seems to be enjoying her hectic schedule too! Barely hours after it had been confirmed that she would play the lead in Telugu star Balakrishna’s 101st film, reports began pouring in that she will also play the lead in Lyca Productions’ next film helmed by debutant Nelson Dilipkumar. Sources tell us that the film has been titled Co Co.
The actress, who is known for selecting scripts based on their content, has opted for a debutant director’s film after Dora and Aramm this year. Moreover, Nayan is attempting a new genre for her, with this project. A source tells us, “Co Co is a dark comedy and the team is much impressed with it’s script. Apart from Nayanthara, the film will also have Yogi Babu play a pivotal role.” What more? Anirudh has been brought on board for the music in the film. Lyca, apart from their big budget flicks like 2.0 and Sabash Naidu, are also producing smaller films like Ippadai Vellum and Karu, which are in various stages of filming. Nayanthara, on the other hand has Imaikka Nodigal, Aramm, Kolaiyudhir Kaalam and Velaikaaran lined up for release this year.
