Abhay Deol, who is already working in the Tamil movie Vedhalam Sollum Kadhai, has been roped in to play the powerful antagonist in Sivakarthikeyan’s Hero. Directed by PS Mithran of Irumbu Thirai, the film has Kalyani Priyadarshan as Siva’s romantic interest.
Speaking to DC from Hyderabad where he has gone for location hunting, Mithran said, “It was not easy to get Abhay on board. I literally chased him. I wanted a villain who looks unassuming and at the same time evil. Abhay Deol exactly fitted the character I had conceived. And he was also impressed with his character arc.”
It had been revealed earlier that Abhay was learning Tamil from lyricist Veronica for Vedha and this may be an added advantage for team Hero.
Ivana who made the impressive debut film Nachiyaar appears in a prominent role. Yuvan Shankar Raja does the music with George C Williams in charge of visuals.
