It is a well-known fact that Tamil dubbed versions of Tollywood blockbusters always find their way to a large number of screens in TN. The reason being — the stars, who are also popular in K’town, rich production values and picturesque locales, among other factors.
The latest is Nagarjuna-Ramya Krishnan starrer Soggade Chinni Nayana which is being released as Shokkali Minor in Tamil. A 2016 supernatural drama, the film garnered good reviews from critics with Nag playing dual roles, besides producing the movie under his home banner. Lavanya Tripathi, who was seen in Bramman, is Nagarjuna’s romantic interest.
Directed by Kalyan Krishna Kurasala, the movie had Nasser, Sampath, Brahmanandam and Pithamagan Mahadevan as part of the key supporting cast, besides Anushka Shetty in a cameo.
