My name was there in this voter’s list: Siva

“The number of films releasing has increased. So, among ourselves we can decide and give chances to those who are without work,” Siva said.

I was happy my name was in the voter's list this time,” remarked Sivakarthikeyan smilingly while he rushed from his outdoor shoot to cast his vote in the Nadigar Sangam elections held on Sunday. He was jokingly referring to the ruckus created when his name was missing from the rolls in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections, despite which he cast his vote and EC official Satyaprada Sahu had said action would have to be taken against the official who allowed him to vote.

“I was particular that I should franchise my vote and it is my right to vote. I was shooting out of the city and somehow managed to reach on time. Those who have the blessing of god will win in this election. However, there are many jobless actors who have a lot of requirements like film offers and monetary needs and I am sure the winning team would take of their needs. I will continue to support and be a part of any efforts taken by Nadigar Sangam that would benefit the needy.”

“The number of films releasing has increased. So, among ourselves we can decide and give chances to those who are without work,” Sivakarthikeyan said.

Reacting to a question on which team he supported, he said, “All are my friends. In fact, there were so many names in the booth that I was confused and took half an hour to complete my voting.”
