The leaking of Singapenney song from Vijay’s much anticipated sports drama Bigil had created a ruckus among fans earlier. Now, there’s a report of yet another number Verithanam, rendered by the star himself for the first time in AR Rahman’s composition, having been leaked and making the rounds online.
A hashtag #VerithanamLeaked started trending on social media after a clipping shown was believed to be a portion of the song from Bigil. Sources suggest it is a fake version of the movie’s original song. The fans were unhappy about the song’s leak as they hold special importance to Verithanam as Vijay himself sang it.
One of the fans wrote, #VerithanamLeaked.Welldone@archanakalpathi.Playing with Thalapathy fans emotion is a fun for you. Never giving updates on time. Fi rst single is leaked already. I think the whole movie will be leaked before release. Only request is don’t do movies with Thalapathy vijay.”
The official twitter handle of Bigil movie clarified that the song was not leaked and it’s just a hoax. “Clarification: #Verithanam song has not been leaked as reported by certain media handles. ‘#verithanamleaked’ is a FAKE TREND initiated by anonymous members. #BIGIL.” This may have helped calm down Thalapathy fans.
