GV Prakash sings for AR Rahman
Coming from a musical family, GV Prakash started his career as a singer in Shankar’s Gentleman, composed by AR Rahman, his uncle. He then went on to sing a few songs under ARR’s composition. An excited GV, says, “It was a happy moment for me as I got to sing for AR Rahman sir after a long time. I rendered my vocals for an energetic number, with lyrics by Vivek. Rahman sir liked my voice and we had a nice time recording the number.”
The shooting of Mersal starring Vijay, Nithya Menen, Samantha and Kajal Aggarwal is currently underway in Chennai. The latest addition to the cast of Mersal is Cheenu Mohan and Misha Ghoshal. “They play brief roles in the movie and the team is on track to wrap up the film by the end of July,” a source close to the team reveals.
