Dr Rajashekar's nephew Madhan to debut
Popular yesteryear hero Dr Rajashekar’s nephew Madhan will wield the megaphone for the first time for a film titled 88, in which he will also don the greasepaint as lead actor too! This film exposes the menace of technology, and has Upasana Roy Choudhary, former Miss India Asia, making her debut as the female lead.
Madhan says that he had hands-on experiences before venturing into direction. “After finishing college, I joined my uncle Rajashekar and worked with him for two years. Even as I was trying for acting chances, I got the opportunity to closely watch several filmmakers. I also made my Tollywood debut as an actor with a movie Parvathypuram. So, when I completed the script, I thought why not try my hands at directing as well?”
Ironically, he plays a struggling filmmaker in the movie — and Upasana, who has done a few Kannada flicks, will be seen as a teacher. Revealing more about the film, he says, “The film will largely talk about the dangers of today’s technological advancement — mainly the videos shared on mobile phones. The hero’s mobile number ends with 88, and hence the title,” he reveals. He further states that there is a relevant message in the movie, which is packaged in a commercial manner.
