Adavi imparts a social message

Vinoth Kishan, who did the role of the younger version of Suriya in Nandha, and Ammu play the lead pair.

Ramesh G, who cranked the camera for Ajith starrer Azhwar and Vikram’s King among many others, wields the megaphone to debut as filmmaker for Adavi. Vinoth Kishan, who did the role of the younger version of Suriya in Nandha, and Ammu play the lead pair.

Talking about his venture, Ramesh says, “Adavi means dense woods in Tamil and the film deals with the preservation and conservation of forests. A group of people wants to destroy the forest area near Kotagiri and wants to construct a high-end resort. How the lead pair, along with the support of the locals, thwarts the efforts of those who want to usurp the forest forms the rest. There’s a large message of preservation of forest, which is the homeland of tribes. They have been nurturing and protecting the environment for many generations and they should not be evicted. I have narrated it interestingly without getting preachy.”

“We shot the interior of Kotagiri forests and we had to walk long distances to reach the rural location. And during night, elephants and other animals would cross our area. There was a bit of fear as we shot the film,” he admits.
