The first look of KV Anand’s Kavan has caught the attention of movie buffs, and expectations are sky rocketing to see the unusual combination of Vijay Sethupathi and T Rajhendherr. The latest update is that actors Bose Venkat and Ayan villain, Akashdeep Saigal, play villains in this romantic thriller.
Bose Venkat says, “KV Anand is my good friend and well-wisher since Sivaji days. He always says that I will make it big in Kollywood if good offers come by. I acted in his film Ko, which got me the recognition I needed and I was flooded with offers soon after. One day, he was discussing about casting different actors for Kavan and wanted me to come for a screen test.”
After hearing the story narration, Bose Venkat transformed himself into the character and impressed KV Anand — “I cut my hair and met him in a completely new get-up. He couldn’t identify me and that is how I landed in Kavan,” he reveals.
With the characters that he has portrayed on screen, Venkat has the ‘good guy’ image attached to him. “I think after seeing my character with grey shades in this film, people will shed that image. Majority of my scenes are with Vijay Sethupathi. I also share screen space with T Rajhendherr. KV Anand was particular about TR’s character. So, we will see his original character on screen.”
Bose Venkat has only a couple of days before he wraps up his portion, and is now pinning his hopes on Kavan for a big break.
