Director Mohan Raja’s Velaikkaran is one of the most expected movies of 2017. Starring Sivakarthikeyan, Nayanthara and Fahadh Faasil, the movie is touted to deal with food adulteration. While the talkie portions are wrapped up, the team is expected to travel abroad to film a couple of songs.
Editor Vivek Harshan who received national award for his work in Jigarthanda was roped in as the editor for this film. He has been working on the film ever since the movie went on floors. In sudden turn of events, the editor of Velaikkaran is said to have been replaced. We are hearing reports that Ruben who worked on Mersal and Vivegam has been finalised as a replacement. We still do not have a clear information on the reason behind Vivek Harshan opting out.
The movie which was supposed to release for Vinayaga Chathurthi has been postponed to release for Christmas. The film is also creating a huge buzz in the trade circuit due to its content and star cast.
Produced by 24 AM Studios, the movie also has Vijay Vasanth, RJ Balaji, Sathish and Robo Shankar as part of the supporting cast. Anirudh Ravichander has scored music for the movie.
