Director Vignesh Shivan is known for bringing back forgotten talents to the silver screen. In his last venture Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, he brought back Andandh Raj and Mansoor Ali Khan in important roles.
Similarly, for his next venture Thaana Serndha Koottam, he has cast Suresh Menon of Pudhiya Mugam fame. And now, veteran actor Senthil, who has not been acting in films lately, has also joined the sets of Thanaa…!
A picture of the popular comedian, which is rumoured to be from sets of the film, is making the rounds on social media. It is said that the actor is playing a pivotal role and, for the first time will have combination scenes with Suriya.
Senthil in an exclusive chat with DC, confirms that he is part of the film — “Yes, it is true that I am playing a role in the film. We are currently shooting for the same in Karaikudi.”
“I can’t reveal anything about the role currently. I have given about 40 days for the shoot,” he says, “I will be signing more movies hereafter.” When asked why he took such a long break from acting, he says, “It was because of an accident and I had not been keeping well since but now I am fine. I am looking forward to acting more now.”
With Keerthy Suresh playing the lead, Senthil playing a pivotal role, and Anirudh Ravichander handling the music, Thaana Serntha Kootam has already created a huge hype among fans.
