A travel comedy shot fully in Goa
Udhay Karthik, who played the hero in Naan Sivanaagiren, did an important role in Bala’s Paradesi as well. Now, he has been roped in for a travel story, with a quirky title — Ivaluga Imsai Thaanga Mudiyalai. Sahaana is the female lead and Kanaa Kaanum Kaalangal fame Sivakanth is being introduced as the comedian.
VN Rajasubramanian, a former assistant to Sakthivel, who was part of films like Kandhakottai and Ego, turns independent and wields the megaphone for this film.
Talking about his film, Rajasubramanian says, “The hero falls for a girl after interacting with her on social media for a long time. At a certain stage, he sets out to Goa to meet her and the troubles he faces during his journey is narrated in a hilarious manner.”
About the choice of the title, he says with a smile, “The hero gets entangled in a problem because of a goof up by the heroine. From there on, they are always at loggerheads. The title loosely translates to ‘the girl’s torture is unbearable’.”
He reveals that the film has been shot in Goa for 45 days in locales untouched by any Tamil filmmaker. “We have explored a few virgin locations. The film will go well with the youth — we have not cast any senior artistes in the film,” the director says and signs off.
