I am also dying to watch' Nota: Vijay Devarakonda

Sathyaraj who plays a vital role added, “It was my mentor,(late) Manivannan who had the boldness to portray contemporary political stories.

I struggled to speak even one paragraph in Telugu for the Tollywood version of my earlier film Nanban in Shankar’s direction and took several retakes. But I was speechless when Vijay Devarakonda took just a single take for the four-page dialogue strings and performed effortlessly for the Tamil version of his debut movie Nota,” remarked ace Sathyaraj, heaping praise on the Arjun Reddy star at the promo event of the political thriller.

Sathyaraj who plays a vital role added, “It was my mentor, (late) Manivannan who had the boldness to portray contemporary political stories. Films like Amaidhipadai and Ko were political movies with a fresh approach. Similarly director Anand Shankar has made Nota, which will be a sure shot hit. My long time desire to act without any makeup or change in looks came true with Nota. You can see me as how I look in real life (laughs)”.

‘When I started shooting for this straight Tamil film, it was a little tough to understand the language. Now I am well versed and I can even recite Thirukkural without seeing the paper’, quipped Devarakonda.

It was an enriching experience working with Anand Shankar in Nota, the young sensation added. “I often see people commenting in Tamil as ‘Marana waiting’ (dying to see the movie) on the twitter page of Nota. I am also ‘Marana waiting ‘ for the film (smiles). I want to win the hearts of Tamil audiences and I hope Nota would do the trick.”

Produced by Gnanavel Raja, the film has Mehreen Pirzada as the lead heroine with Sanjana Natrajan, Nasser, MS Bhaskar, Karunakaran, Yashika Anand playing supporting cast. Sam CS composes the music.
