Here’s the latest buzz in tinsel town! Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan will be doing his next film with the prestigious banner, AVM Productions. He was in fact launched by the same banner in the film, Kalathoor Kannamma, at the age of four. And who can forget the cherubic child artiste Kamal in the film released in 1959, and the famous song Ammavum Neeye… filmed on him? Close sources say that director Mouli, who gave the comic blockbuster, Pammal K Sambandham with Kamal earlier, will be wielding the megaphone. Speculations are also rife that the comedy caper will have the title Meyyappan as a tribute to iconic producer A.V. Meyappa Chettiyar, the founder of the legendary studio AVM.
Though sources close to Kamal admitted that talks are on with Mouli for a project for a while now, they are not aware if it is going to be produced by AVM. Also, sources from AVM banner say that they are unaware of any such developments.
Kamal is currently busy with his trilingual Sabaash Naidu. The shooting of its next schedule is to commence soon, after being put on hold due the actor suffering a leg fracture recently.
