Unlike Bollywood, where biggies like Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan often work with women filmmakers, it’s rare for Tamil stars to step outside the box in this respect. And therefore, a big shout out to Suriya, who has collaborated with Sudha Kongara for his next, titled Soorarai Pottru.
The latest buzz on the K’town circuit is that Sudha, who made the blockbuster Irudhi Suttru with Madhavan, is the frontrunner to direct Vijay for his next, Thalapathy 65. She seems to have outstripped the likes of AR Murugadoss, Pandiraj, MagizhThirumeni etc., who reportedly narrated scripts to Vijay.
Industry sources feel Thalapathy is likely to choose Sudha, as he was impressed with the filmmaker’s one-line narration of her story. He has also reportedly evinced interest in taking it to the next level of discussion.
Meanwhile, Vijay will lock horns with Suriya, as his Master is all set to hit the marquee alongside SooraraiPottru this summer.
