After making waves with Telugu and Tamil superstars, glam diva Pooja Hegde is doing her maiden female-centric Tamil film and it is touted to be a gripping thriller. "Pooja took some time to accept the offer since she has to carry the film on her shoulders. Later, with confidence in the script, she gave her nod,’ says a source who claims that she would be joining hands with Tamil director Ajay Gnanamuthu and prestigious AVM productions. “She is happy to work under an illustrious banner and also with a talented director,” he adds.
He further claims that Tamil star Vijay Sethupathi would be donning a key role in this big ticket entertainer. “Vijay Sethupathi's role would be crucial but brief in the film. It is being designed as a multilingual film considering the popularity of Pooja in Telugu, Tamil and Bollywood,” he points out.
Actually, Pooja has been doing wonders in Tollywood with blockbusters like ‘Aravinda Sametha’, ‘Ala Vaikuntapuramloo’ and ‘Maharshi’ and later did action film “Beast’ with Tamil superstar Vijay. “She was waiting for the right offer in Tamil and finally agreed to do another Kollywood film to retain her rankings and popularity,’ he concludes.
Nonetheless, she joins the elite list of Anushka, Kajal, Rashmika and Keerthy Suresh who have proved their mettle in author-backed roles and a few turned crowd pullers too.
