Last year, Suriya and Selvaraghavan took us by surprise by joining together for a film. This untitled project, which will be the actor’s 36th film will be bankrolled by SR Prabhu’s Dream Warrior Pictures. We were the first to report that the team had roped in Rakul Preet Singh to romance Suriya in this movie.
While the shooting of this yet-to-be-titled venture was supposed to have commenced in April 2017, it got postponed due to unknown reasons. Now, the team has announced that the film will go on floors in January 2018. Speaking to DC, producer SR Prabhu says, “We are targeting a 2018 Deepavali release and we are hopeful about finishing the project before that. Pre-production work is underway and we will be announcing the rest of the cast and crew in a week or 10 days.”
Sources say that this film will be different from the projects Selvaraghavan has done earlier. On several instances the Nenjam Marapathillai director had stated he was excited in developing this script. We also hear that the movie will be shot in Chennai, Mumbai, Hyderabad and abroad as well. 2018 is definitely going to be busy for Suriya as his Thaanaa Serndha Kootam is hitting the screens for Pongal and his film with Selva will release for Deepavali.
