As the clouds of intrigue around TJ Gnanavel’s Vettaiyan rise with Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil engrossing film aficionados, considerable insights have been offered by the award-winning cinematographer regarding another cross-country extension, Dosa King.
The film draws parallels with the infamous P. Rajagopal, the owner of Hotel Saravana Bhavan, Dosa King will seek to capture the rivalry that ensued between the restaurateur and Jeevajothi Santhakumar who rose against his domain. The story will be all about the stimulating events which detail Rajgopal, who rose to power and also on the decline of his reign over a clan of successful restaurants.
Gnanavel and Hemanth Rao were the authors of the narrative for Dosa King which is an action based drama, so in this case, most of the reality is fiction. Gnanavel who has been tracking the life of Jeevajothi from their days of his working as a journalist said, “Dosa King is a curtain raising story that depicts the functioning of the crime based system in the most dramatic and extreme circumstances”.
There is another viewpoint that is desperately waiting to be told. The biopic Dosa King produced by Junglee Pictures, which holds the exclusive life rights of Jeevajothi Santhakumar, is in pre-production stage and will soon start the casting and filming.
