Suchitra was worried about Vijay's isolation from his family. She said, “When successful people become isolated, they become vulnerable to unwanted influences. Vijay has distanced himself from his parents and wife, but he remains alone without any introspection however nevertheless he is now in politics.”

In particular, Suchitra emphasized the importance of family support for Vijay starting with guidance from his father Chandrashekhar- she said “He needs his father's goodwill and the emotional support of his wife, Sangeetha. Without them, he cannot achieve anything in politics,”.

Rumors of a Trisha-Vijay Affair

The buzz around Vijay and Trisha ‘s relationship increased when on June 22nd; Trisha wished him happy birthday on turning 50. This came along with a mirror selfie showing her together with him on social media captioned as ," The storm to a calm; the calm to storm. To more milestones ahead" posted along with emojis and Billie Eilish’s song ‘Birds of a Feather’ playing at the background which led others to think otherwise about it.

“The picture that Trisha posted with Vijay shows that she owns him.” Said Suchitra this was further not liked by us.Many are comparing it to MGR and Jayalalitha-Jaya learnt politics under MGR then dumped him off.Karunanidhi did not like Jaya because he saw how his friend was being controlled by her.”

Criticism of Trisha and Political Commentary

Suchitra went beyond personal relationships to talk about wider political issues.She criticized the recent hooch tragedy in Kallakurichi where she argued that it was deliberately staged because she would not gain any political mileage from it.

She also told Vijay to make peace with Chandrasekhar while staying away from Trisha when stated “Chandrasekhar is a modern and progressive thinker. I suggest Vijay patch up with his father. People will suffer if a spoilt brat becomes Chief Minister. So, Trisha and Vijay should not be together. She should not work for him.”

Further, Suchitra advised that if Trisha had any political aspirations, she could position herself in opposition to Vijay even joining the BJP.

A History of Criticism

This is not the first time Suchitra has criticized Vijay and Trisha. In May, she made serious allegations against Trisha which further fueled the ongoing public discourse surrounding their professional and personal lives. Suchitra’s frank comments continued to generate arguments that revealed the complicated relationship between personal relationships and political ambitions in public life.
