Sudha Kongara and Suriya reunite after Soorarai Pottru

A Tamilian from Andhra Pradesh director Sudha Kongara gave Suriya an extraordinary success through Soorarai Pottru (Aakasham Ne Haddu Ra), a biopic. This was a great achievement in their careers as both of them won National Awards on this film’s account[sic]. Now, this celebrated pair has sung together again with a new project called Purananooru.

During an interview with Sudha Kongara recently shed light into their second collaboration[.] “It is an anti-system story… Yes Purananooru is against that anti-Hindi imposition movement which happened in 60s… It’s an anti-oppression film… I think all my films have fought that thing of oppression” she revealed.

Her previous works show that Kongara has an enthusiastic commitment to the matter of oppression. Speaking about her film "Saala Khadoos", she said, “This girl boxer breaks the barriers and emerges successful.” For years, many women have been living under a patriarchal system. You must embrace it and conquer it. It is in all types of separation, oppression and division. You should beat it instead of worrying about it.

The cast includes Dulquer Salmaan, Nazriya and Vijay Varma in the film “Purananooru”. This is a film on which Suriya’s 2D Entertainment will spend lavishly as the music will be done by GV Prakash Kumar. Among his vast career titled “Purananooru” will be 43.

Fans are waiting for precise details concerning this auspicious project that is thought to deliver another strong narrative given Sudha Kongara’s firm hands on it.
