Trisha Krishnan Sparks Buzz With Voting Post

She used the song Arjunar Villu from her hit film Ghilli.

On Thursday, actress Trisha Krishnan cast her vote in the Tamil Nadu elections and shared a photo on Instagram. The multi-lingual star proudly showed her inked finger while posing with her mother. The actor urged her followers to perform their civic duty. However, her choice of background music grabbed the most attention.

She used the song Arjunar Villu from her hit film Ghilli. This movie featured her alongside actor Vijay. Fans noticed she chose a specific part of the song featuring whistles. This sound is the official symbol of Vijay’s political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam.

Followers interpreted this as a silent endorsement of Vijay. Many fans flooded her comments section with heart emojis and Vijay GIFs. Some even referred to her as Anni, which means sister-in-law. The post has gone viral as fans celebrate what they call a clever code word for her political support.

In the run-up to the TN elections, Trisha was linked to Vijay. The rumour gained traction after Vijay's wife, Sangeetha, filed for divorce. The duo even attended a wedding ceremony together. The photo clicked on the occasion went wildly viral, as it confirmed that Vijay wanted the world to know that he was in a relationship with the actress. Vishwambhara and Karuppu are among her upcoming movies.
