Megastar Chiranjeevi turns 69 years today, yet his charisma and popularity is still intact and rocking, “His upcoming film ‘Vishwambhara’ would be made with over Rs 200 crores since it is a magnum opus and a tribute to his superstardom," says a producer, who adds, “Chiranjeevi is doing a socio—fantasy and magnum opus after a long time and he is bound to rock in a larger-than-life role in a story with mystical touch,” he adds.
He is teaming up with new-age director Vassihta to come up with a path-breaking movie. "Being August 22nd, a festival for mega fans, the makers of the highly anticipated film 'Vishwambhara' revealed a pre-look poster at midnight, they have now unleashed the first look poster.
The poster reads: When myths collide, legends rise. Chiranjeevi who will be seen as a great devotee of Lord Hanuman arrives to introduce an imaginary world built for the movie. We can see divine powers everywhere in the poster with flashes of lightning, and the entrance to the hill in the background resembles a gateway to heaven.
Coming back to his illustrious career, the producer says," Eventhough, his last release, ‘Bhola Shankar’ failed to impress, his earlier film 'Waltair Veerayya' garnered Rs 130 crores in two Telugu states and holds a unique record. “He is giving young generation stars like Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun and Jr NTR a run for their money and he is going to prove his crowd pulling prowess once again,” he concludes.
Meanwhile, his yesteryear blockbuseters 'Indra' and 'Shankar-dada MBBS' are being re-released today to enthrall his legion of fans in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana..
