Hyderabad:The Hyderabad police commissioner summoned actor Mohan Babu to appear before him on Wednesday, following a report submitted by the Pahadi Shareef police regarding his involvement in a criminal case filed by Manchu Manoj.
Elsewhere, a reporter who was injured in an attack by Mohan Babu filed a complaint regarding the incident with the Rachakonda police commissioner. Alleging there was an attempt to murder him, the reporter sought an investigation against Mohan Babu.
“He forcibly grabbed the microphones from our hands, used abusive and foul language, and physically attacked me without provocation,” the reporter said.
Meanwhile, Mohan Babu released an audio recording regarding the dispute with his son Manchu Manoj, stating that conflicts were common in any household and claiming that the situation had been twisted to portray him as the aggressor.
He alleged that Manoj had been physically abusive towards the maids, and his behaviour had become unruly, with excessive alcohol consumption. Mohan Babu said he educated and supported Manoj and never objected when Manoj picked a career in films.
Mohan Babu stated that the house and property were his, earned through hard work. He said he had sought police protection. He said that his wife was in hospital, and that he would hand over Manoj’s daughter in the presence of the police.
