Actor Sasi Kalinga
Kochi: Renowned Malayalam actor Sasi Kalinga, aged 59, passed away in a private hospital in Kozhikode on Tuesday morning.
Sasi Kalinga, who began his acting career as a theatre artist, has acted in more than 500 plays and more than 100 movies.
Sasi whose original name was V. Chandrakumar rose to fame through roles in popular films like 'Paleri Manikyam Oru Pathirakolapathakathinte Katha', 'Pranchiyettan' and 'The Saint', 'Indian Rupee', 'Vellimoonga' and 'Amen'.
He was active in theatre for more than 25 years. He is survived by wife Padmavathy.
