After critically-acclaimed Dolphins, which had Suresh Gopi in the lead role, director Diphan is back with an action-thriller film. According to sources close to the project, Jayaram has been roped in to essay the lead role in this yet-to-be-titled film. It is for the first time Jayaram teams up with the Puthiya Mukham director.
A.K. Sajan, who has penned the screenplay for the actor’s hit film Sharjah to Sharjah, will be the screenwriter for this film. The film will go on the floors in the last week of February.
Dolphins, which had Suresh Gopi and Kalpana in the lead roles, was one of the hits of 2014 and had actor Anoop Menon as the scriptwriter.
It is after a brief gap, Sajan is writing a screenplay for another director. His last such work was Shaji Kailas’ Mammootty-starrer Drona.
Later, he wrote scripts for two more films - Asuravithu and Puthiya Niyamam, both directed by himself. Puthiya Niyamam starring Mammotty and Nayanthara is now all set to hit the screens.
