A dream outside the Khaki'
Director Arun Viswam is all set to portray a story based on the life of a police officer after his state award-winning debut movie Kolumittayi. “Being a police constable for 11 years, I know how hard their real professional life is. I haven’t yet decided the cast for my movie, though I wish to cast a very strong actor to give life to my character,” says Arun. In the story, he would picturise an ordinary police officer who reacts to the circumstances amidst misery.
Arun has proven his scripting magic along with co-writer Abijith Ashokan in Kolumittayi, which has won the 2016 State award for the best movie of children.
He worked as an associate of Abrid Shine in 1983, Action Hero Biju and did small roles in 1983 and Ithihasa . “I was passionate about acting and my luck was in the field of movie making. Well, I love myself both on and off screen,” he adds. The shoot is expected to begin at the end of the year. Kolumittayi has been in the news recently after child actor Gaurav Menon alleged that the producer failed to settle his payment.
