Sathyan's Dulquer film to be shot in Tirupur
Sathyan Anthikad is noted for gifting memorable family subjects to the Malayalam film industry since his debut film Kurukante Kalyanam in 1982. Around two months ago this ace director who has collaborated with Mammootty for nearly nine films, announced his decision to cast Dulquer Salmaan as the lead in his upcoming directorial venture.
There were reports that Dulquer Salmaan will be essaying a Thrissur native in the yet to be titled film. When quizzed about the role, the director says “Yes, he will be essaying the role of a youngster who hails from a family settled in Thrissur. But this film does not give importance to a particular dialect.”
Sathyan says Dulquer acts as the fourth son in a rich family. “He is a graduate, who does not have a particular job. But he is an active person, who looks after the family matters,” says the director adding “Along with Thrissur, Tirupur is also a major location of the film.” S.Kumar will crank the camera for this film, whose last collaboration with Sathyan Anthikad was the Dileep-starrer Vinodayathra.
