While remakes of hit films are not new, the latest news from Mollywood is rather surprising The Sugeeth directorial Shikari Shambu starring Kunchacko Boban and Sshivada has wrapped up its shoot recently and the post-production work is going on, with the makers looking to release it soon. But even before the film has hit the screens, sources indicate the film will be remade into Tamil. This, for a film yet to be released, is a rare phenomenon. The film tells the story of three people who set out to catch a tiger that terrorizes a village. If the source is to be believed, it was Tamil actor/producer R .K Suresh, who will be debuting in Malayalam through this film, who put the wheels of remake into motion after he loved the script. The indications are that Vishal and Nayanthara would be playing the lead roles.
