It was through short films and music albums Shabareesh Varma started his career as an actor and lyricist. Though he established himself as lyricist and singer through the blockbuster Premam, Shabareesh is not ready to bid adieu to acting in the short films. Recently Shabareesh has acted in a short film Thavidu Podi Jeevitham and music album #LifeisAdipoli.
When quizzed about the reason behind his decision to be part of these projects, Shabareesh says, “It was through short films and albums that I entered the film industry. This platform helped me a lot during the struggling period. So, I am happy to come up with short films and album songs again.”
Besides acting, Shabareesh has written the lyrics of #LifeisAdipoli. “It is directed by my close friend Albey. In fact I was supposed to write and sing that song. But I could not lend the voice due to throat infection. It was later that Albey asked me to act in its video,” says Shabareesh who shared screen space with Ahmed Siddique in the short film Thavidu Podi Jeevitham, which is all set to reach Youtube.
